Margot Davis named new MES Assistant Principal

Mrs. Davis has served as the Director of Bands at Cheraw High School since she came to Chesterfield County in 2015.  Under her leadership, the band program has received many accolades including the Outstanding Performance Award each year. Additionally, Mrs. Davis has served in various capacities such as on the School Safety Council, Graduation Committee, and Fine Arts & Humanities Professional Learning Community during her time at Cheraw High.

Mrs. Davis earned her Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Music Education from Charleston Southern University. In 2018, she earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina.

In addition to her leadership experience at Cheraw High School, Mrs. Davis has been a member of the district’s Aspiring Principals’ Program. According to Mr. Todd Pletcher, MES principal, “Mrs. Davis will make an excellent addition to our MES family! We look forward to the expertise and energy she will bring to our school and community.” 

Mrs. Davis states, “I am excited to serve as the new assistant principal at McBee Elementary School! I can’t wait to get to know all of the students, parents, and staff. I look forward to a wonderful school year at MES.”
